S0918SW.DATED1599BELLARM.M   r  Extreme rare brown saltglazed stoneware bellarmine with benign bearded face mask and roundel to front body with coat of arms and date above 1599. Wide based wirecut with rough edge, very low very bulbous body, widish strap handle with rattail,  and simple cordoned lip. Overall light to mid brown and  speckling with various rough touchmarks. One slight flattened touchmark to rear. Restored with re-attached upper section and handle to shoulder, and base hole restored, all very well done and displays excellently. 7 1/2"high, 5 3/4"diameter   £sold
