S0312SW.ALEXANDRINAFLASK.M   Rare brown saltglazed stoneware figural "Alexandrina" reform flask formed as full length figural of "QUEEN/ALEXANDRINA/VICTORIA" (impressed on reverse) in court dress, bareheaded, bead necklaced, and bare armed holding a scroll in one ungloved hand. Impressed "MAY/PEACE AND/PROSPERITY PREVAIL" in serif caps. Her waistband also impressed "VICTORIA". Her hair and bodice carefully picked out in dark brown glaze and the rest left a waarm buff with light brown speckles etc. Various small touch marks and a couple very small shallow surface chips. Larger touchmark to side edge lower and one small surface mark to rear shoulder. U- shaped short hairline approx 1/2" at base edge. Rear has "DENBY & CODNOR PARK/BOURNES/POTTERIE/DERBYSHIRE" impressed low reverse, in serif caps pottery stamp. 7 3/4"high, 3 1/4"x2 1/8"diameter   £sold
