X0602M.BLACKDROP.M Classic clear leadglass crosshinged molded glasschip pontilled small cylinder med embossed lightly but clearly "BLACK DROP". Thick base, straight undulating sides to flat shoulders, short neck and wide flaring and rolled back in and flattened lip. chip off edge of lip approx 1/4of circumference, otherwise excellent. Black drop was of course the name given to a popular mix of opium, vinegar and spices ofyen with sugar, in effect a form of Laudanum. Kendall, Lancaster, Armstrong's, Quaker's and Toustall's were all prefix's or title variations often named. Made famous by Byron and Samuel Taylor Coleridge who wre some of the more infamous addicts of this drug. 3 1/2"high, 7/10"diameter £75
