V0514SW.BROWNSTONETEACAD.M An unusual English (possibly Brampton) brown stoneware rectangular-section Tea caddy. Two part moulded with arched shoulders showing a detailed flamboyant caparisoned female head, above which a small wheeled carriage being dragged by winged infants (putti) and carrying what looks like a woman and baby (on both sides). Flat base. Cylindrical wide neck. Almost metallic sheen to glaze. c1820-30's. Very good/Excellent Just some minor glaze rubs on the odd high point (inc noses) but nothing untoward and is otherwise mint 7 5/8"high, 3 1/8" x 4 1/2"rect. £235
