W1005.1690ONION.M   Classic English blackglass (dark olive green) freeblown onion c1690 of deeper bodied form typical of that era, medium kickup with sand pontil, very lightly marvered rounded sides rounded flat shoulders into wide based conical tapered straight side neck going through uptooled stringrim below everted snapped off and firesmoothed lip.  Surface has some gloss and some light matte with scuffs. stringrim has approx half circumference nibbled at but not detracting too much. 5 6/10"high, 5 6/10"diameter.
