W0715.TAPERMALLET1725EXC.M   Excellent freeblown blackglass (dark olive green) English tapered sided mallet c1725, deep kickup with huge and sharp saand pontil with bluebloomed broken pontil projection, sagged base marvered flat sides rounded and sloped toward wide base swooping long tapering neck through crude double tooled stringrim below everted snapped off lightly firesmoothed lip. Full original surface gloss, lightly bubbled and striated, superb condition, some internal stain, some slight manufacturing splits in lip and three nibbles off stringrim but not affecting profile. Really pretty mush as good an example as you will find, and very flat and wide. 7 1/2"high, 5 3/4"diameter. £395
