V0514SW.CAPEDOLDLADYREFORM.M  Saltglazed stoneware 'reform' type flask modelled as old lady with cloak, cape and hood, tied together with bow at neck, hand appearing out of front, standing on oval pedestal (which is impressed 'CREAM OF THE VALLEY'. English. Overall mid-brown upper saltglaze and grey lower below cape of cloak. Flat base. Interestingly has two raised letters ('CK') upside down on the top of the pedestal at the back. c1840. Good/Very good  Has various minor manufacturing indents, faults, spots and kiln touch-marks. A small (6mm x 8mm) surface chip to front right also looks like it was caused in-manufacture due the glaze colouration around it and similarly a smaller one on the rear of the cape. 8 1/8"high, 3 1/4"x 2 3/8diameter.  £195
