T0327SW.WMBENBELLARM.M   Classic early c1500 widemouth grey saltglaze stoneware German bellarmine with wide rounded cordoned base wirecut, low sagged baluster body, short tapering neck finished in fine cordoned lip. Wide strap handle to rear, front with large finely modelled realistic benign smiling face with long moustache and beard. Overall grey body with mid brown speckling, and cream/grey glazedrips. Restoration to shoulders around sides and rear covering probable kiln body splits or distortion. Small restoration to rear of lip  which has been squeezed oval.
