W0328.EARLYSNUFFWM1770.M  Rare early feeblown (dipmold) blackglass (dark olive green) widemouth flat octagonal snuff c1770, near flat whittled base with sand pontil, straight sagged whittled sides with arched faces, to rounded flat shoulders into striated short  stubby wide neck through downtooled applied stringrim well below everted snapped off lip. Lightly bubbled throughout, full original surface gloss. Small restoration chip on lip (since photos) otherwise excellent.   6 3/4"high,  3 1/4"x 2 1/4" rect.   £550
