T0423.PITTAPERMALLET.M Characterful freeblown blackglass  (mid olive green) tapered sided English mallet c1730. deep hummock kickup with sand pontil, round  base edges, sagged base tapering sides, rounding into sloped shoulders into long tapering neck through wide v-section stringrim below everted snapped off firesmoothed lip. Overall surface gloss but with approx 20% mid brown coloured vitrified light pitting spread generally evenly throughout the surface.
