REDDOT46.G8.32.MAXWELLCYL.NW  Crude, attractive sealed cylinder c1790 with seated stag and "M", well struck seal to upper body, very deep kickup with sand pontil, sagged base, whittled sides rounded shoulders, short bulged neck pinching in to very bold applied stringrim below very downtooled lip. Full original surface gloss, large and small bubbles and whittling etc. The unusual aspects of this lip and stringrim shaping and crudity overall point to a probably Scottish manufacture or at least very Northern UK.10 1/2"high, 3 1/2"diameter.  £sold
