T0202SW.WWGRHIDEC.M   Classic Westerwald saltglazed stoneware handled jug c1720 flat base, baluster body,  decorated with heavy inscribed floral decoration in symbolic style. Cobalt glaze colouring and reeded cylindrical neck also coloured in manganese purple. Overall mid grey classic westerwald colour. Strong round form grooved handle applied with deep airhole in top. Excellent condition apart from two very tight hairlines inside neck approx 3/4"long and 1 1/4" long. Unusually heavily decorated and inscribed. 6"high, 4 1/4"diameter    £sold
