V1117.HALFENGMALLETIRID.M   ppealing half size freeblown blackglass (dark olive green) English mallet c1730, deep kickip with quatreform basal indent and sand pontil, rounded base edges, tapered marvered sides rounded sloping shoulders into short tapered neck through disklike downtooled stringrim below everted snapped off lip. Overall waterwashed and lightly iridescent with striations all around. Slice off edge of stringrim. Some slight scuffing etc, and generally much character. 5 9/10"high, 4 3/5"diameter   £sold
