E520S.LENOX.NW   Extreme rare blackglass (dark olive green) freeblown cylinder sealed to upper body "LENOX" in serif caps for Robert Lenox a wine merchant of Philadelphia.  Shallow kickup with sand pontil, sagged base, classic  lightly bubbled sides, round shoulders into short striated slightly bulged neck finishing in double toled conjoined stringrim and rounded downtooled lip. caps. Origina label for "LENOX MADEIRA/ Imported by the late Robert Lenox Esq, by the shipJane, June 1809//Put in Demijohn......July 4th 1811/Bottled.....March 1816/Re-bottled ........ June 1888" The bottle being the original 1816 attributable example and then emptied, washed and refilled.
