W0617.MALLET.M   Classic freeblown English blackglass (dark olive green) mallet c1750, deep hummock kickup with sand pontil, sagged base, straight marvered sides to rounded sloping shoulders into medium tapering striated neck through applied downtooled stringrim below snapped off lip. Full original surface gloss. Some large bubbles. One chip to lip edge in manufacture approx 4mm wide, 2 conjoined nibbles to nderside of stringrim total 13mm wide, difficult to see.
