Front of barrel impressed 'X X X'. Underneath impressed 'SUCCESS,/ TO,/ REFORM'. Dark brown glazing used to pick out hat, hair and coat leaving waistcoat, shirt, face and lower body in buff cream. Rear impressed 'DENBY & CODNOR PARK, BOURNES, POTTERIES, DERBYSHIRE". Well modelled (typical of this esteemed pottery) c1830. Good/Very good Has a very easy to miss small repair (to a high standard) on the very top of the right tankard which in no way detracts and is otherwise excellent. 7 7/8"high, 3 1/2"x 1 7/8"diameter £sold
