V0514SW.OLDTOMREFORM.M A medium (8.75") saltglazed 'Old Tom' Reform flask. Two part moulded. In shape of man sitting on a barrel in full clothes and wide brimmed hat carrying two tankards. Barrel impressed 'OLD, TOM'. On rear impressed potters stamp (above base). All of figure in dark shiny metallic glaze over warm grey lower body showing hose and socks in grey. c1840. Good/Very good  Just some light glaze rubs on high points (ie nose and tankard) and small (5mm x 7mm) chip on very bottom of left tankard and a tiny (1-2mm) fleabite on the top of the same tankard, but nothing to detract on display and is otherwise excellent.  8 3/4"high, 4 1/2"x2 3/4"diameter  £220
