X0701.IRIDESCONIONREST.M   Attractive English freeblown blackglass (dark olive green) onion c1710 with deep kickup and very rough glasschip pontil. Flat sagged body with slightly sloped shoulders into wide based neck and swooping into narrow striated neck through applied v section stringrim below everted snapped off firesmoothed lip. Overall waterwashed silk smooth with appealing metalic shheen and iridescence, multi coloured metallic and pale grey ;ower body effect with some patches of ultra fine lifting revealing darker surface below. Hole to one side approx 1 1/2" diameter restored and colour matched. looks excellent and handles well. Original cork. 6 1/4"high, 6 1/4"diameter   £250
