S0508SW.THMBASECRUG.M   Classic  example thumbased handled Tudor crug of smaller capacity c1500 typical of "Mary Rose" period and usage, overal buff colour saltgalzed stoneware, recessed base with thumbed piecrust edge going into angled bubous annular ribbed body then again into short widemouthed neck with small well applied earpiece handle. Usual crudity, kilnand touchmarks, roughly potted, shallow flake off front of base edge of little consequence, larger flake/chip off edge of mouth but not distracting. Overall good example of a classic tudor handled drinking crug. No restoration or messing about, totally honest.  4 1/2"high, 3 1/4"diameter   £sold
