V0514SW.VICTORIABIRDHANDREFORM.M   ch  Nicely modelled saltglaze stoneware reform flask in full length form of a young Queen Victoria in low shouldered gown holding a dove. Impressed makers mark to rear. Attractive dark brown colouring upper body and lower rest of body similarly natural buff/cream colour. c1830's. Pottery stamp on rear "DENBY & CODNOR PARK/BOURNES,/POTTERIES,/DERBYSHIRE" Just has a medium (5mm x 15mm) chip on the base edge at the front (with a very small old flake also on the base edge, but at the side) and a tiny (2-3mm) chip on the side (below her shoulder) and an equally small flake on the tail of the bird (and a rub to its wing) and is otherwise very good. 8 1/4"high, 3 1/8"x 2"diameter   £195
